Which devices and languages are supported?
iPhone and iPad require iOS / iPadOS 16.0 or later. The paired Apple Watch app requires watchOS 9.0 or later. The app follows system preferences across 13 supported languages; change your language preferences in system settings and reopen the app. This website is available in English and Simplified Chinese.
Do I need an account? Can I use the app offline?
Core recording needs no account. Moods, manual diary entries, running records, local weekly reviews, search, favorites, app lock and local backups do not require a subscription. Local recording works offline. AI, purchases and purchase restoration need internet access. Map tiles may also need a connection.
Data, backups and changing devices
How do I back up or transfer my records?
On your old device, open More and the content backup page, export a backup file and save it somewhere you trust. Import it from the same page on the new device. Importing replaces existing related records and settings, so back up the new device first. Files contain sensitive content and are not automatically encrypted. App lock, AI consent and membership device credentials are not transferred in diary backups; configure them again or restore purchases.
Do my iPhone and iPad sync diaries automatically?
The app does not provide its own cloud diary sync. Each device primarily keeps its own records. Importing a backup replaces data on that device instead of merging two libraries. Paired watches and widgets receive mood summaries, not your full diary database.
What should I do if records are missing?
Check the date, search filters and whether you used another device. Look in the diary trash or chat recovery option. Export current data before attempting imports. The developer has no cloud copy of your diary, so back up before uninstalling. If saving fails, keep your input and contact support.
How do I delete records or make a privacy request?
Delete moods, diary entries, runs or memories in the app. Diary entries can be permanently removed from the trash. Cleared chats are kept locally for 7 days for recovery. Deleting the app does not delete exported backups or cancel an Apple subscription. Email 281916057@qq.com to request access, correction or deletion of personal information. See the privacy policy.
AI, permissions and allowances
What does AI receive, and how can I turn it off?
Open More, Privacy & Security, then AI content permissions. After explicit consent, your message, necessary chat history and companion settings go through the developer's HTTPS backend to DeepSeek; diary drafts and summaries use the chat content you select. Optional moods, diary entries, other memories and profile context are off by default and controlled separately. Memories may include running summaries; raw route coordinates are not automatically added to AI context. Turning AI off stops future requests but cannot recall content already sent.
What if AI does not respond or device verification fails?
Check your connection and AI consent, then review the remaining allowance and error message on the Pulse Plus page. Use the official App Store version and correct system date and time. If the service is temporarily unavailable, try again later. Verification failures do not bypass device checks. Local recording remains available; send persistent errors and their time to support.
What are the Free and Pulse Plus allowances?
Free includes 30 AI chat turns and 3 generations each month, plus a first-use bonus of 20 turns and 2 generations on this device. Plus includes 600 turns and 60 generations each month on either plan. Diary drafts and chat summaries share the generation allowance, and regenerating uses another generation. Failed requests are not charged; automatic retries are not charged twice.
When do allowances reset? Is the annual allowance given upfront?
Allowances reset at the start of each UTC calendar month. The app shows the reset time in your local time zone. Unused monthly allowances do not roll over. Annual plans also receive allowances monthly, not a year's worth at once. Your renewal date may differ from the allowance reset date.
Is this a medical or professional counseling service?
No. AI responses can be inaccurate or incomplete and cannot replace medical diagnosis, treatment or professional counseling. If there is an immediate risk to personal safety, contact local emergency services or seek professional help in person.
Purchases, restoration, cancellation and refunds
How do I subscribe to Pulse Plus?
Open More, then Pulse Plus, choose a monthly or annual plan and review the price, billing period and automatic renewal details in Apple's purchase confirmation. US prices are $2.99 per month or $24.99 per year; mainland China prices are CNY 18 per month or CNY 128 per year. Final prices are shown on the purchase confirmation. Apple processes payment.
I paid but have no benefits, or changed devices. How do I restore?
Use the original purchasing Apple Account for Media & Purchases, connect to the internet and choose Restore Purchases on the Pulse Plus page. Restoring a subscription does not restore local diary entries; import your backup separately. If benefits are still missing, check the subscription's expiry in system settings and send the error, purchase date and a redacted screenshot to support. Avoid purchasing again.
How do I cancel renewal? Does uninstalling cancel it?
Uninstalling does not cancel a subscription. Choose Manage Subscription in the app or open iPhone Settings, your name, Subscriptions, then Pulse Diary to cancel. Access normally continues until the paid period ends; existing records remain available to view and export. See Apple's cancellation guide.
How do I request a refund?
Submit a request through Apple Report a Problem. Apple determines eligibility, the outcome and payment timing; the developer cannot issue refunds directly. Cancelling renewal and requesting a refund are separate actions. See Apple's refund guide.
Why are subscription plans or prices not loading?
Check your internet connection, Apple Account sign-in and whether in-app purchases are allowed, then reload the Pulse Plus page. A store loading error, unavailable service and exhausted allowance are different conditions, so note the exact message. Existing subscribers should try Restore Purchases first. Core recording remains available.
Location, watch and system permissions
Why is a route missing or the running distance inaccurate?
Live routes require location permission. Check Settings, Privacy & Security, Location Services, Pulse Diary, including Precise Location, and start outdoors with a good signal. Manually entered runs have no GPS route. The app supports pause and resume, but GPS and system background behavior can affect results. Keep the time and steps when reporting an issue.
Why do Apple Watch and widgets not show diary text?
They receive only today's recording status, mood word and expression, and expressions from the last 7 days. They do not receive diary text, notes or routes. If a mood is stale, open the iPhone app, check that the watch is paired and the app installed, and allow time for updates. The system schedules widget refreshes.
Why do reminders or voice input not work?
Daily reminders must be enabled in the app and notifications allowed in system settings. Focus modes or notification summaries may delay them. Voice input requires microphone and speech recognition permissions. Check these settings; manual recording remains available if you decline optional permissions.
What if app lock authentication fails?
App lock uses Face ID, Touch ID or a device-passcode method allowed by the system. Check that device authentication works. The app stays locked after a cancellation or failure. The developer cannot unlock it remotely or read local records. Do not uninstall while troubleshooting without a backup.
